This blood on the pavement wasn't here yesterday
How it got there now well I could not say
But I'm sure there's a story and I'd like to hear it
Maybe some gangsters and maybe some pirates
Fought over buried treasure
In dark stormy weather
Then someone got hurt and a lesson got learnt
And they all shared the treasure together

This glass on the street wasn't here last night
I my friend she thinks that there was a fight
That would account for all of the sounds that I heard
When people were yelling some very bad words
But I'd like to think they were just playing games
And the glass on the street was dropped by mistake
And the gangsters told the pirates
That they would wait for the daylight
Cos shards of glass are dangerous

The fun has been had and the gangsters and pirates

Red and blue flash through my window against my wall
I lift my head up but can't see far enough to see what the lights are for
Maybe there’s a party and everybody is very incredibly happy
That’s why there are sirens and a voice of a guy says everybody get down on the floor
